Disease Description
Duchenne muscular dystrophy is a genetic disorder characterized by muscle atrophy and weakness. In some cases, it progresses rapidly and severely, resulting in a complete loss of ambulation, while in other cases, it may have a milder course that is difficult to distinguish from Becker muscular dystrophy.
